In short: this website doesn’t make you sign in. We collect only what’s needed to run the site, reply to you, and — with your consent — measure traffic and show ads on our blog. The BinMate app has its own, separate privacy policy.
1. Who we are
This website (binmate.app, the “Site”) is operated by Anas Hafidi (“we”, “us”). For any privacy question, reach us at contact@7afidi.com. For UK data-protection law we are the “data controller” for the limited personal data described below. This policy covers the website only — for the mobile app, see the app privacy policy.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Waitlist sign-ups — your email address, so we can tell you when BinMate launches.
- Contact form — your name, email and message, so we can reply.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs — your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, kept by our hosting provider to operate and secure the Site.
- Cookies & similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy. Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) are only set with your consent.
3. Analytics
With your consent, we use analytics to understand which articles are useful and how visitors find us. This may include Google Analytics. We don’t use analytics to identify you personally.
4. Advertising
We may display third-party advertising on the blog, including Google AdSense. When advertising is enabled and you consent, Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to show and measure ads — and, where you allow it, personalise them. In the UK and EEA we ask for your consent first via a consent banner, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also control Google’s ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. Opting out of personalised ads doesn’t remove ads — you’ll simply see non-personalised ones.
5. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and send the launch update you asked for;
- To operate, secure and improve the Site;
- With consent, to measure traffic and display advertising.

7. Sharing
We share data only with the providers needed to run the Site — our web host, our email provider, and (where enabled and consented) Google for analytics and advertising. Each has its own privacy policy. We never sell your personal data.
8. Retention
We keep contact messages and waitlist emails only as long as needed for the purpose you contacted us about, or until you ask us to delete them. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host. Cookie lifetimes are listed in the Cookie Policy.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal data, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email contact@7afidi.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
10. International transfers
Some providers (e.g. Google) may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, they rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed at children.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; we’ll change the “Last updated” date above when we do.
